This is a 2006 film by Milos Forman centered around Goya but not about him. It's about religious and political extremism, foreign liberators and torture.
It's a good film, not a great film. Javier Bardem, Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgard.
It would probably help to read up on the French invasion of Spain during the Napoleonic Wars.
