are other people in middle schools noticing that english teachers seem to just put on that talking cd rom for every class? i've just started at a new school, and since the kids don't know my schedule, the cd rom is almost always set up ready for the korean english teachers. i knew there was one last year, but i didn't realize how much they used it. |

Yeah I thought it was weird.
Theres a computer in every classroom and it's hooked up to like a huge tv screen in the classroom. The CD rom is apparently been burned onto our harddrive.
In addition theres 1 student in every class that is in charge of setting up the program before every class.
I didn't think they were so dependent on it.
Well, Hell I guess it makes sense, even I use it |

I work in two high schools and I've heard other English teachers using recordings, but never for the entire class. They use it to supplement whatever else they're teaching, which is usually geared towards standardized tests... |

In China I have watched university profs walk into their class and turn on a c.d. and then just sit in the back. The kids just sit their and listen. Some profs did this every class. |
