First time I tried to use my BOA card in Korea, it didn't work. You have to call customer service during certain hours to get it unlocked overseas. |

this is true... you probably did this before you came over hopefully...
go into any bank and ask/look to see if they have a "global atm"... most have at least one... i use my boa card here sometimes... boa charges about 5,000, and the banks here usually charge less than that... i would recommend taking out big amounts as the surcharges can add up if you're withdrawling daily... |

I had problems finding an ATM where I could use my Wells Fargo card (not the same as B of A, I know). I tried four banks, and finally found a global ATM machine at SC. There is a fee to use it, but at least I was able to get cash. |
