I heard about this remake a while ago, and like all purists (or those from the Church of No F*cking Remaking Classic Films) I was outraged.
I'm waiting for them to re-make The Ten Commandments now that Charlton Heston is deceased. I don't mean those crappy animated films or made-for-tv movies either.
When was the last original Hollywood film? |

Yep, it's a remake. Also, I don't mind remakes. Look at the original Batman and now look at Dark Knight. Are all remakes bad? |

Batman wasn't a remake. It was a comic book adaptation, the latest of many. You could call it a reboot maybe, but remember that even the original comics reboot every couple decades. |
