You mean a remake of the 1951 classic? No way, they shouldn't go near it. OK I'll watch it. Embarassed

If Tom Cruise is in the one I'm so out.

Didn't they already do that with... War of the Worlds?

I heard about this remake a while ago, and like all purists (or those from the Church of No F*cking Remaking Classic Films) I was outraged.

I'm waiting for them to re-make The Ten Commandments now that Charlton Heston is deceased. I don't mean those crappy animated films or made-for-tv movies either.

When was the last original Hollywood film?

Yep, it's a remake. Also, I don't mind remakes. Look at the original Batman and now look at Dark Knight. Are all remakes bad?

Remakes go one of two ways. Complete flops, or total stunner's outclassing the original.

Batman wasn't a remake. It was a comic book adaptation, the latest of many. You could call it a reboot maybe, but remember that even the original comics reboot every couple decades.
