Some may remember that sometime last year I started a thread here on Dave's regarding a dilemma I was having over whether to embark on an affair with a married colleague of mine.
What I'm now wondering is how common (if at all) is female adultery in Korea? While my colleague seemed very keen on me, I was never sure whether she actually would have gone through with it.
I suppose this is the kind of thing that's very hard to know about, but what does everyone think? |

They are no different from anyone else; they like sex. She'd have gone through with it if you'd have gone about it the right way. |

Selfish. Unimpressive.
There are thousands of unmarried women you could chase after. |

Just because she's married doesn't mean she already has a sex life. Since this is a Korean marriage we're talking about, it's possible that she hasn't "had any" in the past five years. |

In my experience I would say casual sex and infidelity is much more common here, K-women are that much quicker to jump in the sack with you than the women back home... |

There's a reason why there are almost as many love motels as there are hakwons here....
Thank Aristuppus for loose women. |

I would think if you're well educated yet still forced to marry by your parents because of a medieval paternalistic social schema you're not going to feel too constrained about getting some on the side. |

While I'd generally agree with this:

It does make you wonder when you see the sheer number of love motels all over the place. |

I'd suppose a lot of 'love motel' use is not just for adulterers, but I suspect adultery is very common. |

the comments on "love hotels" are based on travel/global ignorance.
Their existence doesn't necessarily mean higher amounts of screwing.
What it does mean... (and in many other places outside of Korea )
is that there is a shortage of private housing, especially for younger people... so hence the demand for "love hotels". How many non Americans or non Canadians have their own appts/homes in their twenties? even thirties in some places?
they are UBIQUITOUS in Latin America.
The fact they're super convenient for people of all ages for screwing around on the side is icing on the cake. |

Basically you're in the same boat as you were before. Since you didn't get it on with her, you know nothing more than you did before. Try it out and see how it goes. |
