| Has anyone else been experiencing problems with their KCTV internet connection today? My connection keeps on timing out. I'm trying to download two TV clips for a unit I'm starting tomorrow. If this shitty connection continues then I'm going to be screwed. I need to show two Seinfeld episodes, or at least part of them with silly answering machine messages and recordings. Plus I got burnt out last week and want to have a relaxing 4 days of work of just showing these clips. Is there anything I can do to fix the connection? I tried repairing the connection numerous times. Each time I repaired the connection, it would start up for a minute or two then time out again! WTF?! |

| Can anyone please help? I feel like throwing my laptop across the room. This is so frustrating!!!! Last night I hooked up a wireless router and it was working perfectly. This morning the problem began so I disconnected the wireless router and am doing it the old-fashioned way and the problem is still continuing. I disabled my firewall and internet security, tried restarting, reset the modem and connection, unplugged modem and plugged it back in, and it still keeps on F'ing up. Please help! I have important work to do on the internet. And no, I'm not trying to look at porn... |

It sounds like an issue with your ISP, the modem has packed it in or your computer is confused which network connection to use or what IP address to use.
It is possible that your computer is conflicted on which network connection to use. Turn off your wireless adapter and reboot using the wired connection.
If that fails you could:
a) go to a pc-room, download and burn the files to a CD (might cost you 3000 won and be a little inconvenient).
b) go to a coffee shop that has wireless and download from there. (You will probably have to buy a cup of coffee and read a magazine while it is downloading.)
c) think of something else to do in class tomorrow and resume your download AFTER your ISP has fixed your problem. I suspect that their customer service line is closed today due to the holiday.

Thanks for the response. It turned out that there was a problem with the ISP in my area. The technicians took a while to fix it but they finally did. I was freaking out earlier.
I can download torrents in a PC room?
Internet cafe's in Korea with wireless? I've never seen one. |
