I went to AMMA last weekend in Shinchon. The food was fantastic, and the prices were decent. I had samosas, palak paneer, and nan. Delicious. It cost 15,000 won, and I could barely finish. My friend had the chicken curry and loved it too.
They look like they've only recently opened because there weren't many people there and the decor was brand new. This place beats the restaurants in Itaewon in my opinion both for quality, price, and vibe.
It's located behind the Hyundai Department store towards Yonsei University. If you walk from the McDonald's to the 4-way pedestrian crossing, you have to take your first left (towards Hyundai Department Store), your first right, and then your first left. It's about 1 or 2 buildings in on the left side of the street on the second and third floor.
If anyone is looking for a good place to get Indian food, then check it out. |

I have to check that place too.
I usually go to Everest, you should definitely take a step in there before you decide your favourite. I have a hard time believing anything can beat it
To get there you have to get out at Exit 1 of Dongdaemun, then walk straight for a bit, make a left and you'll see it on the second floor of the building on the corner-ish of the small street. |

| The best one I've had is Namaste at Dongmyo station. Will try to check out Everest and Amma though. Funny, the best Indian places are definitely not in Itaewon. |

My favourite Nepali/Indian restaurant is The Himalayan...
look up to the 3rd floor, once you get to the street level at exit 8 of Dongmyo station (# 636 & # 127)
Won 10,000 will get you a 'Nepali set': tasty and filling...
or order by the dish and fill out your meal with great nan, lassi, samozas, etc...just the thought has got my mouth watering
...they've also branched out and are setting up a restaurant near Tokyo...great service & hospitality! |

| Yeah, I actually tried the Himalayan before Namaste and it was my favorite for a while. I still like it a lot but Namaste's atmosphere is a little nicer, better place to take a date. They're only a block away from each other, so you can't go wrong either way, food-wise. |

Oh, I was thinking about posting about this place as well. I went there a couple weeks ago having just noticed it, and the owner said they've only been open a couple of months. We were the only customers. It was kind of eerie.
Honestly, I thought it was pretty crappy. My main dish had like no spices in it, it was completely plain. The quantity of naan was very low compared to other places.
We were the only customers and yet they still couldn't be bothered to keep our water glasses filled or check up on us at all.
If you're near Sinchon, go to the other Indian restaurant, near Mike's cabin. Manokamana. Basically the same menu, but better food and bigger portions. And other people actually eat there. |
