Hi everyone, I'm a huge fan of sunflower seeds (David brand, Spitz, etc.) and I've been having so much trouble finding them here.

I even got a Costco membership cuz I thought they might have them there, but no such luck!

I've resorted to asking friends who take trips back to the States to bring me back a few bags... Unfortunately, those run out way too fast and I'm right back to where I started.

Anyone know of stores or markets where I can find them?

I would love you forever!

Sure, I'm finding them at marts. Those are the small grocery stores. I also get bags of almonds and raisins to snack on too. These sorts of things aren't as cheap as in America, but at least a few basics are available.

Really? Like the salted ones? The kind you snack on at ballgames?

The Costco near Mok-dong carries them, at least the last time I was there a few weeks ago. Big boxes of 'em...

I've also seen them at the various import markets around Seoul. Where do you live?

If you're looking for the kind with shells that you can spit out, they're hard to find. Koreans like most of their nuts pre-shelled. Shelled sunflower seeds are pretty easy to find in most supermarkets. If you're in HBC, just go to E-Mart at Yongsan and look in the area between the veggies and rice, they should be around there somewhere.

Costco seems to have certain items in stock all of the time while other items are seasonal. Check the other Costcos- especially the Ilsan Costco, which is larger than the other stores.

I've always been able to get them at an import shop in Sinchon.

From HBC, drive towards Samgakji, through Gongdeok, all the way to the Sinchon Rotary and turn left towards Hongdae Station. Make a right just past the Hyundai Department Store and go straight a bit.

There's a small park on the left, and just past the park you'll see a shop with a red sign that says "여기에..." between a 닭갈비 place and a pharmacy. In the back right corner there are chips and snacks. You can usually find David brand sf seeds there.

Hey Seoulsucker, which section of Costco did you find them at? Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. I was there a few weeks ago too.
