I believe the first sentence of the movie discusses how we're talking about 15-20% of the muslim population. The film states again and again the 'tiny minority' platitude. It is fair, and it is important.

I'm not fully certain that terrorist attacks in Mauritania and Somalia will have an impact on my mom living in the wilds of Iowa--or will have much impact on her decision who to vote for president of the US. She's 84 but not a fool.
