|
|
I was just told that my visa number is being cancelled and that I have to submit another record check and have an interview at the embassy in Japan.
I couldnt really understand the explanation. But it sounds like the requirements changed again today.
Anyone know anything about this? |

| What changed? Sounds like a routine visa run to me. |

| I am still trying to figure out what the issue is. Maybe we now need two original record checks and then have an interview at the embassy in Japan. This isnt a huge problem but I'd just like to get it all straight. |

Something is definitely different. The korean text was shown to me and i put it through google translator but it wasnt a clear translation.
So, if you are like me and you thought you were doing a visa run in the next few days, you might want to look into this. |

if there had been a rule change they would have posted it on the immy site. Do you have facial tattoos and piercings all over your face? |

The director at my school showed me korean text on the korean immigration site. His english is far from perfect. I am supposed to fly to japan sunday. He said something to me about needing another original criminal record check, and then something about having an interview at the embassy even though this isnt my first E2.
Maybe when the kids go to bed the adults will have something to say. |

Ok... now I get it. It's something, someone said... maybe, but you're not sure because you don't understand what might have been said. |

Details?
Are you changing jobs, or renewing with the same school, returning to Korea after some absence ...?
Did you finish your last contract, leave Korea after the expiration date on your ARC or forget to turn in your ARC ... ?
We can not know how to respond if you give us no details. |

It's just a normal visa run.
Why go on Sunday? This Sunday? Don't you know that everything is closed Sunday and Monday this week? |

I hope your boss is paying for three nights in a nice hotel - you won't be back until Wednesday. Embassies/consulates tend to observe the statutory holidays of their country. |
