I know that in Korea tattooing is illegal, and only the most vile, criminal scum would dare to tattoo themselves. But are tattoo machines actually illegal? Or is it simply illegal to actually give people tattoos?
I am wondering if it would be a problem to order one through the mail. Or maybe take a trip to Japan for it? Anybody know? |

My friend's roommate has one...
Sometimes he'll go out, get drunk, and convince people to come back to his house so that he can give them a free tattoo.
He's not very good... |

It is not illegal if you have a Medical license or are a member of the beautician's union to tattoo...the problem lies (so I have been told) with a court case where a judge deemed working with blood can only be done by those in the medical field - As one should know about cross-contamination anyway
I have two machines here, and you can buy them within Korea online...I would not order them yourself from say ebay as customs may (and have in my experience) search and stop the shipment of them.
I have had no problem getting Inks and such...but many of the supplies can be costly here...some links...
