| There's a (alleged) good aquarium in Busan. I've not been there yet, but I'll be heading that way sometime soon. |

| The aquarium is at Haeundae Beach. I've only been to one other aquarium in my life, so I can't judge, but the one in Busan is pretty nice. Haeundae is worth a visit because I think it's pretty scenic. |

Check out the Busan tower. You can get some awesome views of the harbour and of the city itself.
The fish market is really a must see. Tons and tons of fish. |

Yonggunsa temple just northeast of Jangsan subway stop is awesome too, it's built right on the sea.
If you don't mind baring all there is Hushimchung (sp?) spa also in Busan which is very large
Also the Busan museum of modern art, subway stop of same name, exit 2 walk ~ 500 m
You can also try a native Busan food called doegi gookbab, it's a pork soup. It's that flappy pork though so if you're like me you may not like it, and if you aren't like me you could like it. I tried it at the subway exit for Haundae Beach about 6 blocks from the beach... ask some Koreans for help |

Ive been in Busan a few weeks now and i have done some pretty cool things i will list and tell you what i thought of each.
casino at Haeundae beach: make sure u have your passport and hope u do not like to play craps or texas hold em poker. If u have never been to a casino it might be neat but if u have been to Vegas or Atlantic City this will be a let down.
Busan Aquarium: Cost about $16 for entry it is fairly decent the cool thing about this aquarium is you can swim with the sharks.
Busan Tower and Jagalchi Fish market: Must do both of these and they are fairly close to each other. The fish market is free and lots of cool eye candy and stuff to buy. To go to the top of Busan Tower is about 3500 won and well worth it the panaramic view of the city is excellent.
Beomeosa Temple: Nothing more to say but AMAZING cost is free there is a lil hike from subway to the actual temple site but it makes the walk so worth it. This has been one of my favorite things so far.
Seomyeon Underground mall: this is interesting but nothing special, it is in the brochure for things to do, but i would say you can pass this one and not lose any sleep over it. It is just a mall.
Seomyeon 1st street 'Let's Eat Alley': Yeah this place is fairly interesting a lot like Jagalchi Fish market but it is covered and has about the same atmosphere, maybe a little cleaner than Jagalchi. Definitely worth doing once and the food around there is fairly good.
Texas street at Busan Station: hmm lets just say this was like stepping into the Twilight Zone i went over the holiday so hardly anyone was around, but this was the first time i felt unsafe in Korea, this place is straight shady and u r not missing much by ditching this area either. Just a bunch of Russians and Russian stores. This place u will not find on your Busan travel brochure.
Gwangalli Beach: Yeah this place is really nice i live really close to it so i go as often as possible. A beautiful bridge and the beach there is really nice too. Lots of bars and places to eat and really clean in my opinion.
Haeundae Beach: Yeah of course this place is nice plenty to do lots of good food. People playing volleyball on Saturdays. 5 star Paradise hotel is there. A must see beach for anyone in Korea.
Hope this will get you started on your Busan Adventure I will edit this post as i do more stuff in Busan. Send me a pm if you need exact details on a hotel or a place to eat.

There's a cheap shuttle bus from the subway stn to Beomoesa Temple. Turn to the left after you exit the subway, & walk up the hill about 200 metres. There's a mini bus stn there, also on your left. That is how I went to & from the temple.
Taejongdae was pretty good, too. Busses from opposite Busan Stn.

| Does Busan have an equivalent of Itaewon, just out of interest? |
