| So I want to go to Thailand for winter break and I cant find any reasonably priced airfares..... Basically I want to go from Dec. 30th - Feb 2nd and I cant find much under 900k Won! Any suggestions? I've been using these websites www.xanadu.com, www.whypaymore.co.kr and kangsang travel. |

You are travelling on two of the busiest periods ... (first part of the winter break and start of the 2 week school session in Feb.
You could try using the airline websites directly (thai, cathay, etc,) but I'm not seeing / finding much that is any cheaper.
As an alternative you could try changing your dates a bit... early Jan to late Jan...

Don't rely completely on travel agency websites. Sometimes, getting a newspaper and checking the travel section will yield sources for cheap flights. Some of these papers may have their own electronic versions, classified sections and all.
IF you can get to Bangkok on a one-way, I know of a little travel agency in Minburi that is run by a widow out of her living room. I got a ticket from her going from Bangkok to Los Angeles for about 375 bucks one way. But this was two years ago. Regardless, I'm sure you could snare a good deal from her today for a BKK-INCH flight.
See if your agent will take dollars instead of Won. You can snag it from an ATM using a US bank card and pay in cash. That'll save you some coin, especially if the won drops more. |

I saw one on Xanadu one-way for about 272,000. But that deal was good only until the end of October. |
