I've been looking at the new Dell mini-9. W500,000 for a 9inch netbook with an Atom and a SSD.
No linux here in Korea, which is a shame, as I don't need XP for what I'm going to use it for.
But I need to know: Can I get Dell to put English on it for no extra charge? And how would I do that? |

If you need linux, why not just download and install it.
Or, download an english version of XP, install it over the Korean one using the paid for Key they give you and register it. Should be fine that way.
Or just email Dell and ask them |

Can you install an English OS using the Korean key?
I actually have a legit copy of XP home, but reinstalling an OS on a system without the CdRom isn't something I'm too keen on doing. I know how, but it's a bit of a chore I'd avoid if it's possible.
Besides I'm paying for it....
If the Linux version was an option here in Korea it'll be 100,000 cheaper. That's worth something.
Will give Dell a ring before I buy, but I was hoping that someone here would have experience. |
