|
|
Hi.
My mom came here to visit me in Seoul. She just lost her camera that she bought especially for the trip on a 301 bus. We got off the bus at approximately 6:30. It is a pink Nikon Coolpix with 8.0 megapixels. It has all of her pictures from her trip on the camera and she's leaving on Friday.
Anyway, I know it's a long shot, but if anyone sees it or knows the number for the lost and found for buses, please let me know.
Thanks.

You might well get it back if you contact lost and found. It's a good thing to put ur cell number in or on the case in some fashion. I find that Korean's are very honest about returning found property. Heck, it might still be on the bus, I notice that people don't usually touch things that are obviously lost I supose w/ the idea that if the owner wants to get it back he'll come looking for it. |

find a korean who can call the lost and found at the bus depot.
I left my camara on a bus in Gangwondo. My friend called them, located it (on the otherside of Korea) and organised to have it sent back. Pretty easy, just had to pay postage.
Good luck |

I had my boss call and they had it at the office. But since my mom is leaving on Friday, we couldn't wait for postage, so I got to take a bus all the way to 장지동 from 혜화 and then find someway back. On the bright side, I got the camera and there was some drunk guy with a guitar taking requests on the last train home. Good times. |

Good to hear: all's well that ends well!

And yes, I agree: Korea is A-1 for property return - or for the leaving alone of property: many's the time I'd leave a box of stuff on my motorbike, parked on a sidewalk, and return 2 hrs later to find it safe & sound (& yes, I did have a helmet stolen from the bike).

Is there some way that an OP can amend a thread's title? eg. by adding, "SOLVED!", or some such? I got to this thread only after all the dust had settled - a bit of a waste of time, no?.

Good to remember: Korea Tourism's no.: 02-1330
(for Seoul info; for other areas use that area's prefix instead of 02)
- they are very good at getting answers to all sorts of Qs...I'm sure that a Q like "What's the bus co.'s lost & found phone no?" would be no problem for them. |

Yeah, I've found Korea really good about that kind of thing. That's great that you got it back. Your Mom is going to go home with a great story. Trouble is, no one will believe her. |
