Could anyone tell me how to get from the western bus terminal in Daegu to:
a decent bokstore
Homeplus/Emart
and back to the station? Thanks! |

If by 'western bus terminal' you mean seobu jung ryu jang, you are in luck.
Seobu jung ryu jang is also the location of Seongdangmot subway station.
Take the subway towards Ansim for two stops to Anjirang station. About 100 meters west of Anjirang station there's a Homeplus on the south side of the main road.
From Anjirang station, you can continue to take the subway toward Ashim for 6 stops to Jungangno station. In the station, look for the signboards that direct you to the Kyobo building, wherte you'll find the bookstore... it's basically adjacent to Jungangno Station.
If I were you, i'd take the subway from Seongdangmot to Jungangno, do the bookstore, then head back by subway to Seongdangmot with a stop at Anjirang station to visit Homeplus, then cab it to Seongdangmot (2000 won). You should cross the main road when you leave Homeplus and catch a cab going in the right direction.
