I need a course textbook for high-level 11-year-olds who have spent about a year in America. They have already finished the Let's Go series, and have a fair working knowledge of English.
My problem is that there are many advanced coursebooks, but I can't find any appropriate for this age group. Any help would be appreciated. |

Happy Earth or Happy World
by Oxford University Press
Lots of fun activities for elementary students but quite challenging. |

Beeline books level 1-6 by Macmillan. You can get them at Kyobobook.co.kr
Young learners and low level kids should use Superkids books again can be purchased at Kyobobookstore in Seoul.
I used them in Taiwan and here too. They are the best around that Ive seen (and ive seen quite a few now). |

Thanks for all the help everyone. I've been researching all the books that you offered. I'm leaning toward Happy Earth (American). It looks quite fun and seems to break away from the standard format. I like the use of comics and animals. I think it will be quite engaging for my students.
However, I can't seem to distinguish between Happy Earth and Happy World. Is the content different?
The Go for it! series looks great too, but I think it's a little mature (i.e. high school topics) for my students.
Any other suggestions would be more than welcome. |
