So I've been here about 8 months, and i've been doing alright with the ladies. Quantity has not been an issue, but quality has. I'm kind of over drunken hook ups, but as bad as this sounds, I'm struggling to find women any other way. It's not ideal. I'm at the point where I'm looking for something a little more intimate, as I'm probably gonna be around for a while longer.

Back home, I would meet people through people. But here, I don't know too many Korean people. I have coworkers who could probably hook me up with friends, but then, my coworkers are not the type of people I wanna hang out with, so I doubt their friends are either.

What do do, what to do?

You should be open to hanging out with your coworkers even if they aren't you're kind of people, because maybe there friends are. I've met a lot of people this way.

I met my husband in the classroom. He was my student in Canada. I made eyes at him, the rest is history....

Good people find good people easily, so do bad people find bad people easily.

Get your act together and start acting like a responsible person, you will have far less problems hooking up with "drunken hook ups".

Go team Disney-afterschool-special!

This is hardly the case. There are no "good" and "bad" people, and people we shouldn't date end up making themselves into people we should date very often. I've heard a bucketload of stories in Korea of people who thought they had found the love of their life and then found out the other person had another boyfriend/girlfriend on the side, or something even more sinister.

"Bad" people go after good people too. Hopefully they'll become "good" in the act of, but the world is full of stories of this not happening (%50 divorce rate in Western countries).

I'm with you Papa Smurf, except I don't put myself out there to get the "drunken hookups". I'm too old to be playing around, I just want to find the right person and call off the search altogether.

I absolutely agree with this one. I've never had to go there, but I have a good relationship with my Korean c-workers and several times they've tried to hook me up (or directly hook-up) with their friends.

I've met a few girls at the gym. In both instances they initiated the conversations. One turned out to be one of the most incredible women I've ever met.

Just hook up with one of your students. That's what I used to do and it was awesome!

Sit outside your local convience store and give the lovely ladies that walk by the "come-hither sex look". Works for me
