Hello, I am trying to contact Citibank- Mastercard in Canada.

Before, I just used my home phone, dialed 0011 and then the number on the card.

How can I do this from a pay phone? (I no longer have a permanent place of residence.)

Anyone out there know how this is done?

Maybe try this -- call the regular operator and say you want to make a collect international call ....

In North America, call toll-free 1-800-387-1616 or fax 1-888-414-5951, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Outside North America, call collect 416-947-2900 or fax 416-369-4863, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Within Toronto area, call 416-947-2900 or fax 416-369-4863, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

To make a collect call first dial 00799, then the operator will connect you to the number that you want, the 416 number. Most or all of the operators speak English, tell them you want to make a collect call to Canada then give them the number.

If you are not making a collect call, you still dial 001-1 from the pay phone.

I tried using the pay phone, but as soon as I dialed the 0011 I got a recording.........?

I guess I'll try that other number to get an operator.
