I was curious about the pension refund. I will be leaving Korea in December and coming back at the end of February to work at a public school. I know you are not suppossed to get your refund until you are leaving Korea for good but I was wondering even though I'm leaving Korea for two months could I still apply and get my refund? I would just play it like I wasn't planning on coming back. I was just curious because with the exchange rate and the current economy (Korea and America) that it might be best if I take it out now. Any feedback would be helpful |

It's fine if you do that. I talked with a pension office official openly about the fact that I would be coming back soon after applying for my refund and they had no problem with it. You're going to be getting it all back eventually anyway, so I guess they don't really care. |

I got mine back in about a week after applying. Maybe 4 or 5 days after my flight out of Korea which was a same-day return flight. |
