Breaking News. Over 60 dead at the Marriot Hotel, in Islamabad, Pakistan, which is in flames. The people that did this are sick & evil.

must have been cause the US has soldiers in Saudi Arabia.

If the US had never taken down Saddam this would never have happened.

You just contradicted yourself.

Unless you actually think the US soldiers are in Saudi Arabia because the US took down Saddam (patently false).

I agree with Van Islander. It is unfair to blame GWB & the USA, for the retaliation by terrorists for Iraq, & numerous other terrorist attacks by Islamic militants. Islamic terrorism stretches way back to 1972, & beyond (PLO, Olympic Games, Munich). Way too simplistic. See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_terrorism

"At least one American died in the attack, according to the U.S. State Department. Officials in Pakistan said 21 foreigners were among the injured, including four Britons, four Germans, two Americans and one each from Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Libya, Lebanon and Afghanistan. The Saudi ambassador said several staff from the kingdom's national airline were missing."

Ya think? Now I have never been one to shy away from controversy, so let me play devil's advocate. How do you know that they were not just fine, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, upstanding mass murderers?

US forces aren't in Saudi Arabia in any meaningful numbers anymore .

Your man "W" should be taking care of business in the USA not chasing the boogie man all over the world. That is really sad that a handful of people died in Pakistan but had Bush been paying a bit more attention to domestic matters in the US maybe Americans wouldn't be facing an estimated 700 billion to 1 trillion dollar bail out of the American economy.

The classic oxymoron, bacasper Wink

Joo Rip Gwa Rhhee: The US was in the firing line by Islamic terrorists, long before GWB. Remember Lockerbie?

Meanwhile, the Czech ambassador is among the casualties:
