|
|
I need a hotel reservation to get my Chinese visa. I was just planning on finding somethign when I get there. Can I just give them any hotel info, then just change it when I arrive? When I went to Vietnam I just made up a hotel where I was staying.... |

They'll probably check with the hotel in question, best bet is to book a hotel and then cancel once you have your visa. Make sure the hotel won't charge a cancellation fee though. |

Did you book your flight ticket through a travel agency? I did, and I got them to arrange my Chinese visa for me. I booked my hotel independently, and the travel agent never asked me for the hotel details. I got my Chinese visa a couple of weeks ago with no problems.

Its very easy. Go to www.sinohotel.com and make your booking, you will not have to make a deposit. Then print off the booking and take it along with your visa application. Then when you have your visa in hand cancel the booking with sinohotel. |

you could also just book a hostel in beijing or shanghai for a day or two so at least you have a jump off point |

Have you actually successfully used that link, and it doesn't ask for credit card details? I tried it earlier but the bloody thing kept crashing on me. |

yeah my travel agent did my visa also - no hotel q ever came up - but later I did book online and it turned out ok -
go thru a travel agent it's always better - you don't want to deal with the Chinese embassy yourself - trust me - |

I went to China without specifying a hotel...
Why do you think you need to? Just because there is a blank for it on the form? Or did someone tell you that your visa application will be refused without specifying a hotel? |

People are being refused visas for having no hotel, if they plan to stay during the Olympics. It's easy if you're planning your time in China after the Olympics. |
