|
|
I've heard different things... I have a Korean medical report/physical from last December or so (a month or two after I got the E2- under the old rules)... anyone know if that'll work for this one, or if a drug test is now included in the new requirements??
Yikes. |

Yes, they do test you for drugs. If you're stupid enough to be doing illegal drugs here, you deserve to get your ass handed to you and thrown out of the country. |

IIRC, they test for opiates and hard drugs, but not for canabanoids. |

Remember meth, chemicals, and other drugs can end up in a bag of weed so you don't know what you've smoked. If it made your heart race, then it's got some kind of speed in it. Often, they take junk weed that has little or no THC, but looks OK, and add chemicals or other drugs to it. I was in the states 6 months ago for a couple months and all the weed was junk in this manner so I quit messing around. This is all too common which is really scary and why I lost interest in it.

no I don't. I had one in the past, but now I'm applying for a new one. Never had to have a test before either. |

What's the deal with this fearmongoring that your weed might be tainted?
Is this a big problem in the States, because I've never once had this issue in Canada? |

i may be wrong, but i was under the impression that those of you up for an e-2 are subject to a health test after arriving in korea as the final step prior to qualifying for the alien registration card. no idea whether or not pot is a no no, but i'm pretty sure baummer will have to go in for a test when he gets here. |

One thing I've never understood is why weed would be spiked with something. Um... other drugs cost more money. Why the hell would a dealer sneak in some hard drug to lace with the far less expensive pot?? I don't get this idea... does this actually happen? |

you're in the clear, but others may not be. a few of my e-2 friends were told to take the test within a week of arriving. their public schools wanted it done asap. while everyone theoretically has 90 days, you never know what your employer might have in mind. |
