Well, since you asked, here are a few suggestions.

1. Commit it to memory, you never know when it might become useful
2. Ponder your own Korea timeline. Some are long, some are short.
3. Share your own timeline with the board.
4. Create a poll, "How long will you stay in Korea?"
5. Create a poll, "Would you ever shave off (almost) all your hair?"
6. Think about your holiday plans and share with the group.
7. Reply with a cynical comment (oops, already did that)
8. Plot the dates out on a calendar
9. Create a cartoon, using humorous visual representations for each activity
10. Make up a song about leaving Korea
11. Share stories about drinking on a beach in Thailand
12. Create a chant about haircuts, teach them to your elementary students
13. Be inspired to make a life-change
14. Be inspired to get a haircut
15. Ignore it all together

Hope this helps Very Happy

for many of us not currently on vacation and not planning one in the near future, this question is depressing, mundane and slightly stressful to consider!

Here goes:

1.5 days til i MUST send out x-mas cards to friends and family abroad.
8 days til my brother-in-law arrives from the u.s. with gargantuan clothes that will fit me.
9 days til the elementary school lottery.
18 days til the official end of the semester when grades are due.
19 days til the Christmas tree and accompanying decorations including stockings go up.
24 days til Christmas
..............must stop before i burst

oh, speaking of which,
90 days 'til i can start dieting and my crusade back into a size 6!

edit: I removed.

So you signed a contract already? That quick and all setup, huh? Not too much financial damage? How is the job? How is Fukuoka? And how is the nightlife and daily life there?

Tiger Beer, go enjoy your beer on a Thai beach and stop thinking about Korea. Vacation first, rest of life second!

Yep, only took me three weeks to start working. Dont have the visa yet, but i should be getting around to that later this week. Jobs okay...lots of train time. I work three different schools and ones out in the middle of nowhere...two hours train ride from my apartment. Im liking fukuoka alot, but I dont have the cash to go out right now. I dont get paid for another month so it will be tight.

Nah...it just smells to me like you have a lot of bills to pay and/or you like what you do.

I have: about 88 days left on this contract. Then I intend on signing one more somewhere else (bonks head, too)

Just returned from the mother of all vacations: 2 months in Europe, spanning 11 countries: Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein (yes, its a country), France, Italy, Monaco (Also a country), Vatican City (ditto). So, Im not planning on a vacation anytime soon...probably Jeju in April for a week and then perhaps the Maldives or Saipan in July or August. My timeline right now is:

11 months left on this contract, perhaps I will sign another one, then I will have the money to buy a good new and big place up in Seoul. I will probably have another huge vacation in 2 years time, was thinking about seeing a bit of Europe again, this time to include Greece, Turkey and also Egypt (I know its not Europe).
