Being on top of America, it's inevitable.

TD lowered my visa credit limit by $1300, regardless of the fact that I've been paying off my loans from here. I'm glad I got in before they changed the entry laws.

The rate is even worse today. We're getting hit with a strong strong Canadian dollar and a free-falling Won. A few weeks ago I told a co-worker to hold on sending home money because of the usual seasonal upswing in the Won. Unfortunately, it didn't work out.

Actually, I brought up this topic a few months ago here:

http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=104234&highlight=return+jones+salary

Unfortunately, a bunch of an*l p*ssants like Incognitohfx and Jinju derailed it with semantics and erroneous information.

I don't know if this will happen. Canada is in really strong position right
now with all their resources and a very stabile government especially
when you compared them to other oil producing nations (Venezuela, Russia, Iran, and others).

It's all part of IMB's plan to make the hagwons fail, and cut down on illegal private teaching. Laughing

That's funny.

Live rates at 2008.03.14 03:49:30 UTC
1.00 CAD = 998.307 KRW
Canada Dollars South Korea Won
1 CAD = 998.307 KRW 1 KRW = 0.00100170 CAD

This, to me, would seem to indicate an improvement, however slight.

This misinformation on this board never ceases to amaze me. No wonder so many old timers have said to hell with this place.

I have an idea for a new rule: if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, don't post. Seems simple enough.

I do agree that there is a lot misinformation on this board, but I doubt a miss quote of highly changable exchange rates of .2% or 2/1000 is that be of deal. Chill. Cool

Miss Information? Is that the girlfriend of Mr. Information?

It's not just the misinformation passed off as gospel around here that bugs the shit out of me, it's the attendant, immediate knee-jerk calamatous uproar that goes along with it.

Currency fluxuates. It's not the IMF crisis all over again. Christ.

Canadians have lost 30% of the value of the won against the CND in two years. This is big
deal to anyone trying to save money to buy a house in Canada. I 'm sorry if you call this a "knee jerk calamatous uproar". I think this is an important topic.

I believe the word is calamitous not calamatous (calamatous is not a word) that you were looking for. Laughing
