My friends and I are looking to start an internet business. The problem is that we are all on E-2 visas.
Is it illegal to start an internet business with an E-2? The site will be hosted overseas but we will be providing a service to Korean clients.
If it is illegal, are there any ways around this? Have any of you done this before?
Thanks for your feedback. |

Do you have 50 big Gs?
If you do you can switch to an investor visa. |

Negative on the 50 thou.
I suppose we could find a Korean and registar the business in their name. That is placing a whole lot of trust in someone though. |

You COULD do it I think.
Set up the business overseas and register it back home with someone you trust. Have this guy hire you all as in-country liaisons. Switch your visa.
It might work. |

There's a guy over on another site who claims to have started his own business on an E2 and $1000 in his pocket, but whenever asked to elaborate, he always seems to avoid spilling any confirmable details. |
