I was thinking of doing another year of study to become a qualified teacher. I have both an Aussie and a Canadian passport.

Can this extra year be done online or do I have to be in Aus or Canada to get a teaching qualification?

In Canada, you can't take an online course to get your bachelor of education. The program is competitive, and you need a three or four year bachelors degree to apply.

Have a look at this list of all teacher's colleges in Canada.
