|
|
I'm planning on going to Tokyo next week, and looking to take a ferry, so I'm in need of any and all information.
Basically, I'm looking for the cheapest possible way to get there.
I've searched around, and so far, to get from here to Tokyo, is looks like I'll be paying upwards of 300.000 won. Has anyone founds anything cheaper than that?
Any details and reports would be greatly appreciated. |

The Busan-Fukuoka ferry is around 250,000 won already, plus the Fukuoka-Tokyo train... i doubt you can go under 300,000 unfortunately.
The ferry goes to other cities in Japan, but not to Tokyo, and the price is even higher than to go to Fukuoka. And last time I checked the cheapest plane tickets were around 450-500,000 won.
Not a cheap trip |

There is a travel agency that sells package tickets from any city in Korea to major cities in Japan that includes ferry and train tickets. They are listed in the back of the KTX magazine and somewhere on the Korail website. They used to offer significant discounts, but they do not speak English. |

You can get the cheaper overnight Busan-Fukuoka ferry for around W80,000 each way, and then then overnight bus from Fukuoka to Tokyo for Y15,000 each way. I imagine there is a similar option for going via Osaka - check the visa run threads. |
