just a quick question here, im here visiting my sister. now the stamp in my book says the following
ADMITTED 2010, DEC. 08 UNTIL 06M
so does that mean i have until march 6? or 6 months? or other?

It depends on your nationality. If you are Canadian for example you get six months. |

It should also have been marked B2.
You have 6 months from the date of entry.

yes im canadian and im not sure on the 'B2' it just has the pink stamp and then the '06m' is written in |

6 months from date of entry.
Your status is B2 (they should have marked it but may not have - doesn't matter because you have a Canadian passport and the 6m mark).
You are NOT required to get an ARC even though you can stay longer than 3 months (advantage of the B2).
