This is a bit of technical query. My mainboard has 4 slots for RAM. For some reason the 1st slot is no longer working. I can't figure out why. Is there a way to detect what the fault is and then repair it?
I just bought 2 more sticks of RAM and I can't use them both. |

It depends whether its an AMD system or Intel.
What existting Memory do you have. Is it Double sided ram or single. Is it the same Speed, etc.. You need to give more specs of the Mobo and CPU and ram. |

I sorted it. It was a physical problem. One of the pins in the slot was snapped so it wasn't touching the RAM stick. I had to painstakingly bend it with a sewing needle so it connected properly.
Thanks anyway. |
