I wanna go dancing and I am tired of my friends dragging me to places that play American top 20. A city as big as Seoul has to have a House Music scene. Any ideas?

One friend suggested M2 (Hongdae?) - any opinions there?

On a side note, maybe someone knows of a place that plays real hip-hop (breakbeats)....

M2 is a bit too trance-y for me....not enough vocals.

You might like Club Volume at the Crown Hotel in Itaewon, although it can get kind of trance-ey too. This Saturday they have Donald Glaude, great house DJ from SF who's been around for years.

If you like techno, check out the We Love Techno monthly party at Joker Red tomorrow (Saturday) night in Hongdae.

Also, the Seoul Sounds party next weekend (Oct. 4th) should be a great party too. 3 venues, 13 DJs, each one representing a different crew in the local Seoul scene. Rocky Mountain Tavern Hongdae, Jane's Groove and Owl Bus (all in the same building).

B1 in Itaewon, next to the Hamilton Hotel plays solid house, every night of the week. It's more of a lounge than a club, but it's still a great time.

The crowd has cleaned up since they started charging cover, too.
