I went to COSTCO today to scope out the Turkey situation since Thanksgiving is only 2.5 weeks away. No turkeys so I asked when they woudl be in and I was told that COSTCO will not be carrying turkeys this year. Hopefully this is a misunderstanding due to my poor Korean skills, but I did double check and clarify and the woman told me no Turkeys this year. hopefully they are still available at Hannam Mart.

In other news Australians rejoice Costco has Tim Tams.

Yes, Monday October 13, but I'll be (hopefully) cooking turkey dinner on Saturday the 11th.

Perhaps it's Canadian Thanksgiving. My Canadian friend is throwing a party around that time. She has given up on turkeys though. Hopefully Costco will have the turkeys in November! This is my 5th year in Seoul, and I've been able to get turkey every year (at a high price) from Costco. Yumm!

Yes, it is Canadian Thanksgiving. For the most part, we harvest sooner than the Americans mainly because the cold hits us sooner.

I think I saw at Haddon House, they had a boneless Turkey. I will be calling Haddon and Hannam this week to see if they are carrying Turkeys. That said though, I think it will still be possible to order a Turkey feast including a full bird, potatoes, other veggies from a couple of the Hotels. I can't recall which ones off hand.

I think I saw mini pumpkin pies in Tartine in Itaewon. Even if I was hallucinating, that place has the best store-bought deserts I've tasted in Korea.

Also, the basement of Doota mall in near Dongdaemun has Tim Tams...and loads other stuff. (Including cinnamon gum).

Wouldn't you like to know!

On the Hamilton Hotel side of the street. To the left of the hotel if you are standing facing it. You know the back alley behind it where Gecko's terrace, mignon, le st. x, three alley pub, bricxx, etc is? There are a few wee alleys connecting that back alley to the main drag. I believe Tartine is up the second one if you are walking away from the hamilton and towards Noksapyeong. Just wander around those alleys and when you see a little pastry shop with proper delicious stuff in the window, you're there.

Enjoy! It's awesome.
