hey all,
just moved into Bundang and am wondering what goes down on the weekends or throughout the week with respect to nightlife? i'm relatively new to the area but understand Bundang cuts across a few subway stops - if you're mentioning an event or place, can you please include the stop?
cheers everyone! |

At Sunae there is WA bar...not too bad. Darts and a myriad of bottled beers.
As mentioned: Dublin in SeoHyun (on one side of Samsung Plaza). It has a pool table, darts and quite a few regular Westerners.
Monkey Beach (on the other side of SSP) has some dancing (at tables) and regularly gets infiltrated by the "troops."
Some live music bars in Yatap. Another called "The Beatles" between Imae and Seo Hyun.
Plenty of Korean style hofs, etc.... Not a WHOLE lot of choices for foreigner hangouts. |

Lean the bus system well to and from Seoul.
Bundang is a great place to live, but not the most exciting. |

My greatest bus source (now) is the receptionist at work.
Used to be a co-worker (before he moved on).
So, students,...work-staff, etc.
The buses are marked quite well, (helps to read Korean) and the drivers generally respond when questioned from the door. IE; "Kangnam??"
Hope that helps.....a little. |

If you can get someone hwo knows Korean to check out Daum.net .
The have a new travel, 지도, section. Enter 2 points and choose between driving or public transportation. It will work out a time, costs and bus routes for you.
Also congnamul has additional bus information.
Give us a leaving and an arriving destination and I will try.
Full address is more acurate!
PM if not willing to post here.
Cheers,
Ken |

For bus routes, go here:
http://bus.congnamul.com/SeoulRouteWebApp/view_english/map.jsp
It's in English. And you can zoom around and see what's around you too.
Click on where you are and where you want to go and it will give you bus choices. It starts at City Hall, but you can zoom around from there. |

I'm always interested in meeting new people. If you want to go to Dublin sometime, send me a PM. I hear think that they have an open mic. on Wednesdays.
Enjoy your stay. |
