Do any of you computer guys ever check out the computers in Costco? How are they priced? My woman wants to buy a notebook computer next week at Costco, but I have no idea whether they're good value or not.

I'd say she'd use it for web surfing and MS Office stuff. Probably wouldn't want a tiny screen since she needs to see spreadsheets and Word documents though.

Has anyone looked at them recently? Are they good value? Or should we go to Technomart (and if so, what should she buy?)

I guess she wants something portable so she can move it between work and home then take it to the US in the future and then back home again during vacations and so forth. She definitely wants something portable so a desktop wouldn't suit her needs.

If she should go to Yongsan/Technomart (preferably the latter) what should she buy? Or is Costco a good place to shop for these kind of things..

Oh I have no idea what her budget is. Considering her needs though I think it should be at the lower end... Something pretty would be a bonus haha

Costco is OK for pricing - better than a department store and not quite as good as Yongsan (if you know what you are doing).

They are typically mid-range computers. If you want lower end, go to Yongsan. If you want extras / accessories, go to Yongsan.

Seon-in plaza has the best pricing (and IMHO) the best selection of mid-low end computers. I'Park is higher on the pricing (for the same machine) and usually mid-high end specs.

at costco, I believe, you have 90 days to return computers. So, if she doesn't like it, she can bring it back for a refund...
