I watched the debate.
I thought Obama got his butt handed to him at the end with the foreign policy.
On the other hand...I thought Mccain was kind of childish in that I don't think he actually ever looked at or addressed Obama directly.
I also thought that on the bullshit meter, Mccain came out slightly behind Obama.
I also think that both candidates came out like they were shadow boxing in a fog filled room with the lights off.
I don't know that I think there was a winner. I think maybe Obama came off as more ....presidential. I thought Mccain came off as condescending in many of his statements.
Obama was willing to acknowledge that his oponent had good ideas, or policies. Mccain sounded lind of all-or-none.
For those of you who watched, or read the transcript, what do you think? |

I love this quote by John McCain, because he doesn't even see the irony of it...
"The Iranians have a lousy government, so therefore their economy is lousy..."
Ummm... who has been running the USA for 8 years?
How is the economy now?
Hahaha. |

Hmmm...so it's ok for America to go into Iraq and Afghanisatn and it ISN'T ok for Russia to go into Georgia...
McCain wants to give money to businesses and the rich...sure, THAT will help the economy!! What do the rich do with their money? Bank it. What do the middle and lower classes do with their money? Spend it!! Thereby creating jobs to produce the goods that they want.
McCain is for "trickle down economics". Sure worked in the Reagan years!! |
