I found a copy of Xilisoft video converter and it won't work. Everytime I go to convert a video file, the output gives me just the audio track. I've tried all the different profiles and still the same.

I need something that will let me batch convert.

try mediacoder. its freeware and converts any video file to any other video file. Works really well, good freedom of settings as well as standard settings.

Best video converter ive ever used. Often updated too.

Edit:
Quote:

MPEG Streamclip supports batch processing: just drag some files in the batch list, choose a conversion and a folder, click the Go button and MPEG Streamclip will automatically convert all your files.

I've been using GomEncoder to convert movies for my cel phone, but it has plenty of pre-made settings. Works well for the phone, try it for the iTouch. Free.

I still don't know why would give advise on using Korean Krapware. GOm is crap period. Gom is only good in Korea since Korea uses stupid formats and crap DRM which NO one else on this planet uses.

Mediacoder kick Goms in the Nuts and laughs.

Mediacoder might be ok, but you clearly don't know wtf you are talking about w/r/t Gom software.

The advantaeg of media coder is that it supports conversion of almost every video file out there.

you dont need a seperate encoder for ipod, psp, dvds, avi, mpegs, wmvs all that shite.

It does it all, its free, it works well and its sooo light!

hands down the best converter.
