I know, I can find running shoes at every turn but I'm in need of something more specific.

Does anyone know where I can find a shop that's able to tell you what kind of runner you are (pronator/supinator) and then get you a proper running shoe for your feet? The wife's pegs aren't doing too well in her current treads.

Thanks all.

Check out www.fleetrunner.co.kr. They have a good selection of shoes specifically for runners. I've ordered couple of pairs from them and their service is excellent. I'm not quite sure if they have a physical store though where you can get a stride assessment.

Another site is www.runkorea.net. I think this place actually has couple of stores that you can visit for an assessment, although I have never visited. I ordered a running gear from them and their service was very good.

Another place that you will be able to get a stride assessment and pick up good running gear is at local marathons. The bigger marathons will have a huge area with sponsors from New Balance, Asics, etc. and they often have a computerized stride assessment equipment right there on the spot.

Hope this helps.

If you're in Seoul, you can try Runner's Club near Yangjae Station. The staff are quite knowledgeable, they have a decent enough selection, and they have a treadmill and computer set up for stride analysis.
