Yes I am looking for as big of a round pizza stone that I can find under 405mm or about 15 3/4".
Checked the Gmarket site , but nothing. I haven't found any hits on any of the other Korean online shops either. Anybody have or see one of these in Korea? If not I guess I will just have family by it and ship it over. |

perhaps you can have one made? seems to me i've seen quite a few granite statue shops outside of seoul, i would imagine that of these places could easily cut up a nice pizza stone and polish it for you for a lot less than having it shipped.
hell, if i had the right tools and a granite source i'd do it for you, maybe one afternoon's amount of work. |

Kirb's that's a brilliant idea. See if you can draw an illustration and then get a Korean to explain it to the stone cutter to get a price quote and production. I would like one too and there's a granite statue shop near where I live. It makes cute happy face mountains with water feet for bridge decorations. They have a machine that can be programmed to cut granite sculptures of any shape.
How thick might it be? 3/4 inch? 1/2 inch? |

Yeah that might be worth a try. One thing about Pizza stones is that they are porous so they absorb a little bit of moisture when baking. Maybe I can ask one the the ceramic shops about it too.
Thanks for the idea. |
