Does anyone know of a Piano Hagwon in Seoul that would teach in English? Or any specific people?
I played when I was younger and would like to get back into it!
Thanks very much:)

I would like to know this as well....I'll be moving to Bundang soon and would love to take up piano again. Does anyone know of a teacher who can speak Eng? How much do they typically charge per lesson?

Can't help you with the teacher but one thing you might be interested in is piano rentals. From what I've seen, prices seem to start at 50,000 won a month.

If you have ANY more info on this I would be really happy to hear it. I'm in Seoul.

Do a search for 피아노 렌탈 (piano rental) on Naver and this is what you get:

http://search.naver.com/search.naver?where=nexearch&query=%C7%C7%BE%C6%B3%EB%B7%BB%C5%BB&sm=top_sug&frm=t1

Looking at the site of the first result, upright pianos start at 35,000 won a month. Baby grands at 100,000 won and grand pianos at 150,000. No Steinways or anything but they do have Yamaha and Kawai. I do know that a Korean piano maker manufactures Steinway's "low end" line. I forgot their name, though.

The monthly fee seems to be reasonable but the delivery charge is quite high. 150 to 300,000 won but perhaps, you could negotiate that.

It seems that 영창 (Young Chang) is the company that manufactures the Essex line of Steinway pianos.

There's a hagwon with an english speaker right next to Noksapyeong station, above the bookstore. 30k/per lesson.

Also, if you work at a public school, you may have a piano teacher at your school. Swing a deal with them where you teach them english and they teach you piano.

I got a deal like that on Cello.
