Me too!!

I pay 70,000 per month for the smallest, dirtiest gym ever.

Maybe I'll get fat just so I can receive a voucher Wink

I lol'd pretty hard when I found out that the local gym is $40/month.

Back home I pay $10 a month (for an awesome gym, mind you), and wouldn't ever really pay any more than that.

I'll save my money for soju and do calisthenics at home instead.

If you buy a 3-6 months+ membership it evens out to around that price or even lower.

I wish I could find something cheaper around my area, but there is nothing. Even with the 6-month package it's still 70,000 per month, it's awful. They only have treadmills (no other cardio machines) and some obsolete machines to lift weights. The most popular machines are the "fat-slapping" ones, there's like 4 of them. Rolling Eyes

I would check and see if there is a gym at a college or uni near where you live or work. I found a decent one at a small college in Suwon. I pay nothing, no one is around and the equipment is not bad.

Colossal waste of money. The only point of a gym imo are the machines -- ie stuff that you can't find outside the gym.

Marge: I think we should spend the money on something the whole town should be proud of.

I'm working on building a home gym. All I need is a mat. (Not a yoga mat, a thicker one.) Not sure where to get it.

At my gym, I paid 270,000 Won for the entire year which works out to be 22,500 Won per month. But then, I don't live in Seoul.

Gyms around here seem to run about 60,000 won a month, wish I could find a cheaper one.

My gym's only 33 000 per month. It's pretty small but it does the job and it has separate TVs on each of the treadmills with cable channels, very important in my opinion.

Gu/University gym, 20,000 discounted to 17,500 when you also sign up for a class.
