I'm just checking to see if anyone knows anything about some American/Canadian style football being played in Seoul. Are there any leagues? Is there anyone playing any pickup games anywhere? I appreciate if you have any information as I'm finding it difficult to find. |

There's a group of us playing weekly at the Ichon Han River Park near the Dongjak Bridge. Last week was 6 on 6...
We play every Saturday at 2:00 rain or shine and play until we get tired.
This week we will play on Friday at 2:00 because of the National Holiday.
There's a Facebook group for it with directions and a map. Search for American Football in Seoul, Korea.
Come out and join us... but bring cleats if you don't want to be at a disadvantage. |

LG, That sounds great actually so I'll look it up. I'll have to check out the exact location but I think I know where it is. Unfortunately I'll have to travel a bit but I'm not so sure there is going to be another option. The way you mention the cleats I'm assuming you guys are fairly competitive? With me having to travel that far is there any obligation to make it every week or can you do an every other weekend type of thing? |

Some guys are competitive, but we all play for fun...
No obligation, but if people don't show, this thing will die and there will be no pickup football in Seoul...
So, tell some friends and try and have some people show up every week, maybe one day we can even get two fields going at the same time. See you Friday...
Cleats optional, but it's a real disadvantage... trust me. I bought a pair at the Nike store in Itaewon for $70. |

Well, I got either a pair of vans or my adidas shell toes to choose from. Not good on the ankles from my previous experience playing in those kinds of shoes, but i'll give it a go. |

Its not flag, it's straight touch.
And yes, decent shoes will help a lot |

i think someone was doing four alligators last week or something like that. mississippis, one thousands, etc... they all work.
QB cannot run until the rusher crosses the line.
sometimes we do play flag, but i think we're moving towards touch. |
