I've been looking for about three weeks now and so far I haven't been able to find a single gym / health club in Yeongtong, Suwon. I asked my teachers on numerous occasions to help me search for one and they had no idea where one was or why I wanted to go to one. While I'd prefer to find one closer to my house, I'm certain now that they don't exist.
There are a dozen "Screen Golf" clubs in my area that were recommended to me but I don't consider that exercise. They're also building a waterpark / fitness centre by my house but I don't think it'll be finished until 2009.
Does anyone know of any fitness clubs / gyms / health clubs in Suwon? Something with treadmills and weights? Do they exist?
Thanks. |

they're there. Trust me. Your co-workers aren't being helpful. One of the problems is that many probably don't live anywhere close to the school.
ask one of your students.
btw.. use the word "fitness club/centre"
I actually found the places around my town before the VP got back to me with the answers. Just wander around, especially around popular and commercial areas.. look around.. look for signs.. etc. |

There is one in the area of Yeongtong that is directly across from the front gate of Kyunghee University. I'm not sure of the name, but it shouldn't be too hard to find. As I recall it is on a street that is perpendicular to the main road running past the university. It also has a swimming pool if you're interested but I believe it costs extra to use. |
