I'm looking for an electronic drum kit... Preferably something middle of the road quality wise.

I can trade bass guitars or offer cash for the right kit... I have a car big enough to move the kit as well... I'm in Seoul.

I can give you a Roland Handsonic and a KD 120 V drum for a kick (as well as the pedal) You can add a separate snare or use the interface itself for snare sounds (and any other drum sound imaginable. Comes with a stand to mount it on, too.

Also, I forgot to mention it comes with a Roland hi-hat controller. It really is a decent and highly portable set up. You can pretty much put it all under your arm and (with a separate snare pad) has all the elements of a small kit -- plus you can use the Handsonic alone with nothing connected.

Sorry... I'm looking for a full on kit... I'm new to drums and want to learn with a proper set up. A 5 piece V-drums kit is what I'm thinking of.

i agree that electronic drums aren't the real thing, but playing the real thing in your apartment is likely to get you booted in under a minute.

You can go a long way on an electronic kit, though of course the real thing is great if reality permits.

It's like 1,200,000 in Korea, plus the V-drum kick, plus the hi hat control. Very fair deal.

Hey, I have an Alesis DM5 kit that I might be persuaded to sell.

I got it in May 2007 and brought it over from America. It's got some wear and tear on it (as I regularly beat the hell out of it.) But everything still works mostly in its original capacity.

In addition to the DM5 as the core kit, I have a Roland KD-8 Kick Trigger Pad

(much better IMO than the slab of plastic that came with it), and the Alesis ControlPad,

The kit itself is pretty good. The pads are plastic coated in rubber, and they give a pretty good response. The only complaint I'd have with them is when doing fast drumrolls (as they don't bounce as much as a regular drumhead). The DM5 Drum Module gives amazing sound, though. No shit, when played through headphones (otherwise you're going to hear the clicking of the sticks on the pads), this thing rocks. The Roland kick makes it much quieter (a serious concern for apartment dwellers), and the Control Pad adds 8 pads, which I've mounted to the right arm of the kit.

(In case you're wondering why I'm selling, I think I may have broken my foot a while back and it makes playing drums painful. So while it heals, I may as well save up for the Roland dreamkit. It's only 4 million won at Nagwon ... <sigh>)
