How do you enable cookies?
What are the disadvantages for doing this?
Thanks |

It's in your internet browser options somewhere. In Firefox it's in the privacy tab.
Cookies are just little text files that webpages will create on your computer to store data like your username, last time visited, etc. There's no real reason to disable them unless you're overly paranoid. |

If you visit banking sites or important secure sites it is recommended to clear the cache and cookies before hand as some cookies are tracking cookies or spyware. It is on the side of paranoia but it takes 2 seconds to do so and it keeps your privacy secure.
Most browsers have a clear history option that will allow for everything to be cleared (cache, cookies, temp internet files and history). |
