I know it isn't quite the season yet, but which recruiter for SMOE is the easiest and most user friendly? The most likely to get people hired? Thanks. |

I went through Claire at Think Outside. She was great - always answered emails promptly (and I emailed quite a few times with kind of complicated questions) & called to see how things were going. |

I wouldnt' recommend footprints. They didn't relate the policy regarding my transcripts and cost me an extra 80 dollars in postage fees. I paid because I had to, but I wasn't too happy.
Also they told me I only needed 2 passport pictures when I in fact needed 3, and then tried to tell me I had to airmail just ONE passport picture over to them at the cost of another 80 dollars. I told them no dice and they acquiesced. Bush league, IMO.
I've had friends that did Work n Play and they've had good reports. |

Weird... Mayhap just a bad person on the staff... My only problem with them was that they sat on my file for almost two weeks before passing it on to the SMOE to see if they wanted to interview me... Not a huge deal though... |

I'm not going to say who I went with but it wasn't Ryan. I found them to be dismissive and uncooperative. It often took more than two days to get a call back, and our orientation had less than 140 NSETs for March 2008 SMOE total. How many footprints actually brought over I don't know.
I'm thinking maybe they got their sh*t together for September and the batch of 400. |

My experience with Jay was the complete opposite. He is an absolute master of misinformation. When he says "just outside of seoul" what he really means is North Korea.
As the famous joke goes; Stalin, Hitler and Jay Lee are on a plane... |

So let me add a twist to this. I don't know what's up with the economy back home, but it seems everyone I know now has siblings wanting to come to Korea despite the current exchange rate.
For yet another friend's sister, does anyone with some skin pigmentation have a particular SMOE recruiter they'd like to recommend or any advice they'd like to share.?
So far it seems like Joyce Lee from Kovira is getting the most positives without any negatives. |

Jay Lee from Korea Connections gets another vote for me. He always responded promptly (within a day or even within a few hours) to my constant inquiries and never misinformed me. I was with Footprints and WorknPlay, as well--both always offered me positions that were the complete opposite of what I had stated in my application. They would say, "We have these great hagwon openings in Suwon/Daejon/Busan!" to which I would constantly reply, "I wanted a public school...in Seoul." |
