It is not like we all have a choice. The student loans have to be paid.
If we had that luxury, many of us wouldn't be here in the first place. Isn't the Korean Government going to try to make the won go up.
I can wait until they do that and then I'll send some. I will wait until some time next week.

Heck, you'd probably do better having a family member pay, then pay them back next week after things go the opposite direction due to the cash infusion (before they start going to crap again, after that, that is).

The Korean won is in freefall. I've got a couple of months left, and I'm wondering whether it's worth trying to save any more money. Each paycheck is worth less (or is that worthless) than the last, so by the time I get my severance and final paycheck combined, it'll be worth about 8 shillings and sixpence.

In any case, I wouldn't have come to Korea to earn 1050 pounds a month, so I'm certainly not sticking around.

so they are for sure putting some money in to make the won go up a little bit? i know it wont last long, but dammit i have to get a little money back to the states before next paycheck. of course i dont know how i'll pay those other bills next month....cross that bridge when i come to it i suppose. i'm torn between waiting another week or so, or just sucking it up because it isnt going to get much better after that is it? just worse and worse. yeah i came here to pay off some debt back home and well...i guess i'm glad they pay the rent:(. this sucks!

Do we really need two new threads a day on the crap exchange rate? It's depressing.

Spongebob, I mean Underwaterbob, it is depressing to see two threads about the same subject. We know the currency hasn't been doing so hot.
