Thingie. I don't know what they are called.
It's a little piece of software that you can put on your desktop and it does something for you. Maybe it's a countdown timer to when you leave. I want one that shows curency exchange rates and updates every minute or so.

ANybody know what theyr'e called, or have links to a good one.

I don't. It's not like I have any control over this, so really I just have my head down and ignore the dismal news. I have resolved to stay a few more years. I *wanted* to stay anyway and I just found out today that my new contract at my univ. will include a raise.

Fortunately, I don't have expenses in dollars so I can (crosses fingers) sit this thing out. I might even invest in Korean stocks if they crater deep enough.

I want it so I can time my selling of US dollars in the next week or three. I have wads of Cdn bucks too, and at todays rate looking at a profit of a couple of thousand dollars since June (1025). I'm stocking up on dollars here, and I hope that within a week I can get maybe 50,000 in country. I think it's reasonable to expect to trun that into 75,000 in a year.

OH god, you don't want that widget telling you you're doomed to blow up, crash, and die as a result of the boondoggle the rich are causing.

I got a bright idea. Let's get a place in the sticks with no computers, no money, no nothing; just land to grow food and herbs on. We can then eat healthily with no chemicals, not worry about money, and just get high smoking natural herb.

I'm going to buy a piece of land for rock bottom price as a result of the crash so I can just reside there and have a place of my own I don't have to worry about rent nor have to run out each day to go work for money to pay for. I will still need some money for equipment and fuel. Oh yes, I think I need my gasoline and engines... Uh, that's the big problem in the scheme of things.

Umm, actually, that IS the long term plan... got the land already. Some flat, some forest, some hilly....
