On the xe website for currency exchange it talks about trading currency.

Have you ever done it or know of anybody involved with that, who has made good money out of it?

Currency trading is always a risk.

I once traded Won to Yen at my bank before the economy dipped and then traded it back to over a couple hundred Won profit. Now, I am obviously loosing money by working in Korea thanks to the weakening economy.

It's hard to consistently make money on the Forex market. Years of experience and lots of lost $$$ are usually the tuition. Now tho, it may be possible to make some money shorting currency like the US$ when it starts it's inevitable fall to below 60. Personally, I'd rather stay in cash and wait until the post-crash dust starts to settle and start cherry picking stocks that are undervalued.
