I was surprised to find out recently that a movie, directed by Oliver Stone, is already coming out this October. It will be the first time ever that a drama will be made about a US president still in office. I find it a bit strange, but actually, quite interesting.

George Bush really changed the world... but is his time over? I'm not so sure. I think Stone could have waited to make this film, as I get the feeling the Bush story isn't complete.

Anyhow, I just thought I'd let you know about it. Although I loathe him as a politician, I will go see this out of interest.

Run a google search and find the trailers for it. There are some surprisingly uncanny supporting actors.

I loathe him as a person who made the decision to kill thousands of innocents because they seem nothing more than just a bunch of Arabs to him.

I read this biography of George W. Bush back in '03 and it really changed the way I thought about the guy. It was written before his presidency and updated after.

The author of the book was the first to accuse Bush of doing cocaine and because of that, people affiliated with the Bush administration drove him into an early suicide to silence him. His phones were tapped, he was watched and he feared for his family's safety. There is a documentary about it called Horns and Halos starring the author himself and a close advocate during the presidential election. The author committed suicide while the documentary was being filmed.

Anyway, this movie seems to be in several ways an adaptation of several parts of his book. George Bush had an interesting life and I'm suprised it hasn't been dramatized earlier.

I wonder what the motive of Stone's desire to make this documantary is. A little bit late, isn't he? I mean, with GW on his way out this year, who really cares about him?

I guess he just wants to set the record straight. It's never too late to do that, but it would have been nicer to do it before the 2004 election.

I found it interesting that Stone said we would be living with the memory of George Bush for a long time to come. Personally, I think Bush will be quickly forgotten even though the damage he has caused will live on for sometime to come. Nothing really memorable about him from a personal perspective.

I think that's exactly why he will be remembered for a long time to come, in the same way as Hoover is remembered.
