Canadian banks are giants. Not as big as some US or world banks but in their own right are more bullet proof then the big names. The laws in Canada protect and prohibit certain actions which would leave a Canadian Bank exposed to failure.

Plus Canadian banks are more stringent and are very conservative.

The Canadian banks and the Bank of Canada need to prepare for our own financial crises that should begin shortly.
